Terms of Use
Last updated June 2026
By using GrammarLM ("the service", "we", "us") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Who can use it
You must be at least 16, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, to create an account. GrammarLM is a place to practise English; it is not intended for young children.
Your account
You choose a username and password. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us if you think someone else is using it.
Your content
You keep ownership of the posts, replies, messages, and audio clips you create. By posting, you give us a non-exclusive licence to store and show that content so the service can work — for example, displaying your post to other learners. You can delete your content at any time.
How to behave
GrammarLM is a learning community. Do not post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexual involving minors, spam, or that infringes someone else's rights. Do not impersonate other people. Do not try to break, overload, or attack the service. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
Corrections
Other learners may suggest a smoother or more correct way to phrase your writing. These are offered to help, not to criticise. Please be kind when you correct others.
Audio clips
Voice clips are limited in length and are automatically deleted from our storage a few days after posting.
Ending your use
You can stop using GrammarLM and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or harm the community.
No warranty
GrammarLM is provided "as is", without guarantees. We work hard to keep it running and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be available, error-free, or that the learning content is perfect.
Liability
To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the service. These terms are governed by the laws applicable where the service operator is based.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we make important changes, we will note them here. Continuing to use GrammarLM means you accept the updated terms.

Privacy Policy
Last updated June 2026
This explains what we collect, why, and your rights. We try to collect as little as possible.
What we collect
Your username and a securely hashed version of your password — we never store your password in readable form. An email address, only if you give one for login codes or account recovery. The content you create: posts, replies, direct messages, audio clips, your bio, and your English level. And basic technical data needed to run and protect the service, such as temporary session and rate-limit information.
Why we use it
We use your data to provide the service you signed up for (performance of a contract), to keep it safe and prevent abuse (legitimate interest), and, where the law requires, with your consent. We do not use your data for advertising.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Your public posts and profile are visible to other users by design. We run on Cloudflare's infrastructure, which stores and processes data on our behalf as our service provider. We may disclose data if the law requires it.
Where data is stored
GrammarLM runs on Cloudflare's global network, so data may be processed in different countries, including outside the EU, using appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data until you delete your account. Audio clips are automatically deleted from storage a few days after posting. Direct messages remain until you or the other person deletes them, or you delete your account.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — for example under the EU GDPR or the California CCPA — you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the processing of your data, and to object or withdraw consent. We do not sell data, so there is nothing to opt out of in that respect. To exercise any right, email hello@grammarlm.com. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Cookies and local storage
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use your browser's local storage only to keep you signed in and to remember simple preferences like dark mode.
Children
GrammarLM is not directed at children under 16, or the minimum age in your country. We do not knowingly collect their data.
Security
Passwords are hashed, connections are encrypted, and we keep as little data as we can. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect you.

Username & Handle Policy
Last updated June 2026
Usernames are chosen by users
Every handle on GrammarLM, for example @someone, is freely chosen by the person who created that account.
No affiliation implied
A username that resembles a real person, company, brand, public figure, or trademark does not mean the account is operated by, endorsed by, or affiliated with that person or organisation. Accounts are not verified unless we clearly say so. Treat handles as nicknames, not proof of identity.
No impersonation
You may not use a username to impersonate others or to mislead people into thinking you are someone you are not. Parody or practice accounts must not present themselves as the real person or brand.
Trademarks and names
If a handle infringes a trademark, impersonates someone, or is used in bad faith, we may rename, reclaim, or remove it. If you believe a handle infringes your rights, contact hello@grammarlm.com.
Reserved and offensive handles
We may reserve certain names, and may refuse or remove handles that are offensive, deceptive, or harmful.
